Last saturday I went to "sound walk" in downtown long beach.This is an annual series of installation shows both indoor and outdoor by local and international artists.  This is the 6^th annual sound walk. My favorite one was performance artist Michael Mufson and composer Ellen Weller that explored with acoustic to electronic sound interfaces. It was a very moving performance that relied on the most part in improvisation. I watch her for about 10 min. and during this time the performer was crying hysterically, trying to open up the floor and pounding on the carpet/floor. It was moving, I was able to feel her pain through her performance and the sound of the acoustic/electronic music was passionate and dark. I wish I had a photo/video of her but my phone died. I did posted some of the work by other artists there.
