Last saturday I went to "sound walk" in downtown long beach. This is an annual series of installation shows both indoor and outdoor by local and international artists.  This is the 6th annual sound walk. My favorite one was performance artist Michael Mufson and composer Ellen Weller that explored with acoustic to electronic sound interfaces. It was a very moving performance that relied on the most part in improvisation. I watch her for about 10 min. and during this time the performer was crying hysterically, trying to open up the floor and pounding on the carpet/floor. It was moving, I was able to feel her pain through her performance and the sound of the acoustic/electronic music was passionate and dark. I wish I had a photo/video of her but my phone died. I did posted some of the work by other artists there.
